The Retreat is a spacious, period two bedroom holiday property, located in the heart of the pretty coastal town of North Berwick. Less than a 2 minutes' stroll from the beach or a four minute walk to the first tee of The West Links, it’s perfectly located for a family seaside holiday or golfing break. The property also boasts its own private, south facing garden (with BBQ of course) that overlooks the historic Glebe Field in the town.

A first floor Victorian self catering apartment, it has its own main door where a pram or golf clubs can easily be stored. Located on St Andrews Street it’s a really peaceful spot but also less than a minute’s walk to the restaurants, bars and cafes on the High Street. And if you fancy a day trip to Edinburgh it’s only a six minute walk to the train station, with regular trains to Edinburgh Waverley taking just over half an hour.

Bedrooms: 2 bedrooms
The spacious and light master bedroom has a double bed and a small dressing alcove which is also perfect if you are bringing a cot.

The second bedroom is a twin room with two single beds.

Should you require to accommodate additional guests (up to 6) please do let us know as there is a facility to accommodate a further two on request. Should you wish to use more than 4 main beds there will be an additional £50.00 charge per bed.

Family bathroom with bath, shower and a separate w/c.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with hob and electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dish washer, washing machine and a dining table which can accommodate up to 4 guests.

Sitting room:
The sitting room is spacious and well decorated with a gas fire. It is furnished with 2 leather sofas, flat screen television and DVD player. WiFi is also available throughout the property.

Private garden:
There is a secure private garden with BBQ, table and chairs for outside dining.

Central heating, electricity, bed linen, and towels are all included in the rental.

We recommend following the signs upon arrival in North Berwick and also advise considering your options for this prior to check-in as it is unfortunately something we are not able to assist with on the day

To make a booking you can book directly through this site. All you need to do is select your dates and the number of guests. The price will be calculated for you . You will then be required to pay a minimum of £150.00 as part payment, which is non refundable in the event of a cancellation. Then, 42 days prior to your arrival date the balance will be payable with a separate refundable damage deposit of £150.00 due 7 days before your arrival date. Your refundable damage deposit will be held until you depart and then automatically refunded back onto your card within the week after you depart

Sleeping arrangements

There are two bedrooms: one double bedroom with a double bed and a twin bedroom with two single beds (2 additional pull out beds are available upon request for an additional charge of £50.00 per bed) The property can sleep up to 6 guests - please bear aware will be a tight squeeze in the twin room with 4 people

North Berwick voted Scottish Seaside Resort 2013 and home of famous West Links Golf Course.


We visited beautiful North Berwick for the Easter break.

We were very happy with the apartment. It is perfectly appointed, just one street back from the high street.

The apartment is spacious and clean and has everything that you need to self cater (although we ate out most of the time).

The beds are clean and very comfortable and there was plenty space for the fifth person.

A lovely touch was the addition of some Chocolate Bunnies for Easter which made my grown up children very happy!

We will definitely recommend to our friends and will be returning soon. Thank you.
