Hideaway Apartment is a stylish, romantic first floor holiday apartment in the heart of the coastal seaside town North Berwick. As the name suggests is tucked away off North Berwick's High Street, hidden between Forth Street and the High Street - so you are a moment's walk from the shops and the beach. The apartment is pet friendly and can accommodate one small, well behaved dog. The Hideaway has its own main door and patio garden with a small bistro table and chairs. This is the perfect choice for a romantic seaside holiday in one of the finest seaside towns in East Lothian
Living room :
Relax in the living room which has a distinctive coastal theme. There are plenty of seats should you wish to invite family or guests over to join you. There are two large comfortable sofas plus a dining table to seat 4. For your entertainment there is a flat screen smart TV ( Netflix, IPlayer and Prime all available for guests to sign in using their own accounts), free WIFI and Bose speaker to enjoy your favourite music.

This is a beautiful holiday apartment, very nicely furnished and in a great location, tucked away from the High Street. The Hideaway has tonnes of charm and is stylishly chic and we think perfect for a romantic seaside holiday break.

You are welcome to bring 1 small/ medium well behaved dog. There is a small charge per dog of £30.00 per week

To make a booking you can book directly through this site. All you need to do is select your dates and the number of guests. The price will be calculated for you . You are required to pay a 20% deposit payment with a minimum payment of £150.00 or higher which secures the property, this payment is non refundable in the event of a cancellation. Then, 42 days prior to your arrival date the balance will be payable with a separate refundable damage deposit of £150.00 due 7 days before your arrival date. Your refundable damage deposit will be held until you depart and then automatically refunded back onto your card within the week after you depart

Hideaway Apartment is a beautiful place, but it has a big drawback. There is no waste collection service, which means you are responsible for disposing of your own rubbish. I spent the whole week trying to find a suitable place to dispose of my bin bags, which really isn't what you want to spent your holiday doing. The bins at the location Coast Properties sent me to were locked; the bins at the next location they sent me to did not exist. Coast Properties only responded to my emails after repeated enquiries and often ignored some or all of my questions. They encouraged me to dispose of my waste in the general public litter bins - something the Council explicitly forbids in stickers on the bins. For the amount I paid for the apartment, I really would expect better. I'd only advise booking Hideaway Apartment if you're coming in a car and willing to carry your own rubbish back with you.

As my colleague stated on several occasions at the time, Coast Properties do not provide a rubbish removal service. This is the case for every guest and we haven’t received a complaint of this nature before. My colleague provided you with various options of places to dispose of your rubbish. We had a brilliant stay at The Hideaway and will definitely be back! The apartment was immaculate with beautiful decor and excellent amenities and we could not have asked for a more central location. It was fantastic!

Spent 10 days at the Hideaway. Great apartment for two people/couple. Beautifully decorated and great location in the town center. We have booked through Coast Properties for a number of years now and we have always received good service and great apartments ( clean, good facilitates, etc). An immaculate, well equipped apartment in the heart of the very pretty town of North Berwick. An ideal base to explore the Borders from (eg Edinburgh, Berwick, Roslyn Chapel) or just enjoy the nearby beaches, restaurants and cafes then return to the comfort provided by Hideaway. (Booking.com)

Highly recommended place to stay. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this Airbnb. Despite having seen the photos and the good reviews, I already expected it to be good, but the apartment was even better than I expected. The apartment is much larger than it appears in the photos. The location is very central and convenient in North Berwick within easy reach of everything, while also feeling quiet and secluded when you are indoors. The price was very reasonable for the quality of what you get for the price. Lastly, the company were responsive and very accommodating in all communication. (Airbnb)

So glad we booked this perfect place to stay, already thinking about going back. Having the Nisa shop about a 20 second walk away was really handy. We liked that it’s very close to the High Street (but we didn’t hear much noise at all). Nice and peaceful with no noise from neighbours. The apartment is exactly how it looks in the photos, maybe even bigger in ‘real life’. Really comfy bed, great showers and bath and it had everything we needed in the kitchen. (Booking.com)
