Now this is a really special location! In our picture, Guillemots is the pale green end terrace house. This is a spacious, comfortable 3 bedroom period home in one of the most beautiful seaside locations right on the East Beach - just a hop, skip and a jump and you are on the beach! This lovely home is named after just one of the many types of birds that are seen along the East Lothian coastline. Guillemots, gannets and puffins are all on your door step and they can all be seen in more detail at the famous Seabird Centre, only a 2 minutes walk along the sand. When you are not on the beach, the town centre of North Berwick is only a two minute walk. What more could you wish for on your family vacation - sand, sea, great pubs, restaurants and of course our wide variety of shops? Let's not forget the golfers. This is the most ideal spot for the golfing enthusiasts to stay. Two of North Berwick's famous courses on the door step, or take a drive to play on any of the 16 courses found in East Lothian.

Sitting room/ dining room 1:
The ground floor sitting room is furnished with chairs and a television and DVD player. There is a large dining table with seating for eight guests. You will be able to enjoy fantastic views of the Bass Rock and Firth of Forth.

Sitting room 2:
The 1st floor sitting room is furnished with 2 large sofas and chairs, plus there is a television and DVD player. This is really the more formal sitting room, and is very spacious. Now.... stand and watch and become mesmerised with view of the tide and the rolling waves.

Bathrooms:
The family bathroom is on the first floor level with bath, an overhead shower, WC and hand wash basin.

Kitchen:
The kitchen is fully equipped with a hob and gas cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave top loader washing machine and a dishwasher.

The private patio area at the back can be accessed through the kitchen.

Utility Room
There is a utility room with a fridge/ freezer and larder cupboard

Mini Sun lounge/ conservatory:
The wee 'Hot Spot' - a small conservatory with views towards the Bass Rock Island and Milsey Bay.

Outside:
There are private gardens to the front and a private patio to the rear. There are table and chairs for you to enjoy outside dining. From the secure front garden you will be able to enjoy the views of the beach which is just over the road.

Suitability:
Perfect for families couples and of course golf enthusiasts. Golf clubs and tennis rackets are available to hire on request.

General:
Central heating, electricity, bed linen, and towels are all included in the rental.

To make a booking you can book directly through this site. All you need to do is select your dates and the number of guests. The price will be calculated for you . You are required to pay a 20% deposit payment with a minimum payment of £150.00 or higher which secures the property, this payment is non refundable in the event of a cancellation. Then, 42 days prior to your arrival date the balance will be payable with a separate refundable damage deposit of £200.00 due 7 days before your arrival date. Your refundable damage deposit will be held until you depart and then automatically refunded back onto your card within the week after you depart

We've just returned home from our week staying at Guillemots.
It is a beautiful house with lots of character. Lovely family furniture. You can tell that this place is well loved. It has been in the owners family since 1935.
The large indoor porch area was brilliant for leaving coats and sandy wellies in. Then the rest of the house was warm and welcoming.
It really suited our young family.
The downstairs sitting room/diner was our day room. Then when the kids were in bed we used the upstairs sitting room to relax in.
It really is a lovely space.
And that staircase... Beautiful.

Guillemots was absolutely ideal for us. The pictures on the website really don't do it justice! It's quirky in some ways, traditional in others, and it was spacious, clean and very comfortable with beautiful views of the sea. It was so near the beach that we were able to nip out whenever there was a break in the clouds and jump back again when it started to rain! And it was great to have the little sun room, because we were able to put all our sandy things in there and dry our costumes and towels in no time. Coast Properties were great too - very efficient and well organised - and they responded immediately to our one request. We had a really lovely short holiday in North Berwick, and look forward to coming back next year. 5 stars!

Midlothian

A wonderful family house. It was very comfortable. Situated just over from the beach on the East Bay and near to the tidal pool. Super for the children who loved it. Excellent amenities nearby and lots to do in the area.
We had a fantastic week.

A lovely comfortable house, super view, great location right across the road from the beach, has everything you need. Sitting room/dining room down stairs. Plenty space for family dining and lovely cozy living room upstairs to relax and snuggle with grand children in the evenings. Bedding was super fresh and clean. Lovely kitchen with everything you want for cooking. We wish we could have stayed longer. (Booking.com)
