Sandy Shores - Market Place, North Berwick.

Sleeps five in three double bedrooms.

Sandy Shores is a beautiful 3 bedroom 1st Floor apartment, perfectly located in the heart of North Berwick, a stone’s throw away from the beach. Ideally placed to enjoy everything this seaside town and the surrounding area has to offer from nearby championship golf courses, sandy beaches, water sports, horse riding, country walks and cycling. There are plenty of lovely independent shops, restaurants, cafes and quirky boutiques as well as household names. It is only a ten minute walk to the train station where a trip to the heart of Edinburgh takes around 30 minutes. The apartment has been lovingly put together with personal touches throughout and lovely art adorning the walls.

Living Room/Dining Area

The welcoming living/dining room has two cosy sofas, dining table, a large flat-screen TV with complimentary Wi-Fi, Freesat and Netflix. There’s a well-stocked bookcase, games and puzzles - a wonderful spot to sit back and relax after a full day’s sightseeing.


The modern galley kitchen located just off the living/dining room comes complete with crockery and cooking utensils, everything you need to cook up a treat to enjoy at the dining table that seats up to five guests. Integrated appliances include oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, freestanding microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Bedroom 1

The master suite is a very spacious double room, featuring a splendid sleigh king size bed, with two bedside tables, a dressing table, and fitted double wardrobes providing ample storage. The bedroom decorated in calming tones comes complete with luxurious 100% Egyptian cotton bed linens inviting you for a comfortable nights sleep. The view from the window is to the front overlooking Market Place.

Bedroom 2

Bedroom 2 is another spacious double room with a king size bed, with two bedside tables, large chest of drawers providing ample storage. The bedroom decorated in calming tones also comes complete with luxurious 100% Egyptian cotton bed linens. The view from the window is to the front overlooking Market Place.

Bedroom 3 is a double room with a single bed, bedside table, with a fitted double wardrobe providing ample storage. The bedroom decorated in calming tones also comes complete with luxurious 100% Egyptian cotton bed linens. The view from the window overlooks the rear of the property.


The contemporary fully tiled family bathroom comes with a vanity sink, cupboards with ample storage, electric heated mirror, bath with overhead electric shower completes this delightful holiday home.

Although the apartment is conveniently situated right in the centre of the lovey bustling town, its location is off the high street making the accommodation a very peaceful spot to relax in. With award winning bakers and butchers around the corner, you have all you need at your fingertips.

    The property is on the First Floor of a two storey purpose built four apartment building.
    Access to the 1st Floor apartment is by internal stairs only leading from street level to the first floor landing.
    There is no lift.

    Sandy Shores, North Berwick can be reached by the following methods
    (all times and distances are approximate).
    - A 10 minute walk from North Berwick railway station.
    - Edinburgh Airport 34 miles, by car/taxi - 50 minutes.
    - Edinburgh Airport to Edinburgh Waverley Station by Bus/Tram - 35 minutes + 7 minute walk.
    - Edinburgh's Waverley Station to North Berwick by Train - 35 minutes + 10 minute walk.
    - Edinburgh Princes Street to North Berwick, Church St. by Bus - 1 hour, 25 minutes.

    - If driving from the South on the A1 exit off at the 'Thistly-Cross Roundabout' (just past the town of Dunbar)
    taking the 3rd exit onto the A199.
    At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit off the roundabout and continue on the A199 for approximately 2
    Then exit right at the T-junction off the A199 onto the A198 and remain on the
    A198 continuing to follow the signs all the way to North Berwick.


    Please note that public parking in North Berwick can be complex as the rules vary according to season and year to year. We recommend following the signs upon arrival in North Berwick and also advise considering your options for this prior to check-in. However, parking is free in North Berwick but on-street parking restrictions are in place from 08:30 to 17:30 seven days a week. There are also a number of free car parks in the area (some with time restrictions) and these are well signposted. A local group has created a list of parking spaces which can be found at ( A 5min walk away in the 'Glebe' public car park just off St. Andrew St. where there is also 12 EV charging points,

    There are three car parking spaces on Market Place. Free but with a 90 minute parking restriction between 8.30am and 5.30pm seven days a week. However, there is enough space on Market Place to quickly unload a car. The surrounding streets also have the same restrictions but if you park your car at 4pm, you can leave it until 10am the following morning.

    The nearest car park with free unrestricted parking is around a five minute walk back to the apartment. To drive there, continue along Forth Street past the Auld Hoose pub on your right to the crossroads at Quality Street. Continue straight across and enter Melbourne Place and at the T Junction turn right. The car park is there and you will exit a different way past the public toilets on your left. This car park is your best option but it does get busy, so look for a parking bay after 6pm or before 8am.

    There is another smaller car park that you can access from East Road. If driving on Forth Street, turn right at Quality Street, go past the Ship pub on your right, take a left at the little roundabout and the car park is on your right. There is a very large car park beside it but that belongs to the Seabird Centre and has charges during mid to high season.

    It is a 10 -15 minute walk back to the apartment but the next car park that side of town is at the Rugby Club. Continue on East Road, pass the tennis courts on your left, continue up the hill, and the rugby club car park is on your left.

    On the other side of town you can use the train station car park. Driving from Market Place, turn right and drive along the high street past all the shops. When you get to the shop on your left called the Westgate Gallery, prepare to turn left up the hill, at the top of the road turn right past the fire station and the train station car park is first on your left. That is around a 7 to 10 minute walk back.
