A great little base to explore East Lothian and take advantage of the beach, seafront, and all the independent shops, cafes, restaurants and tourist attractions Dunbar has to offer. There’s plenty to do to suit just about everyone! Based in the high street conservation area of Dunbar (AKA ‘Sunny Dunny’), Sea View Loft is a unique, charming and beautifully decorated contemporary third floor apartment (recently renovated) that can sleep up to four people.

Our properties are protected by SUPERHOG, the digital insurance trust platform that enables hosts and guests to confidently transact in the short-term holiday rental space. Please note that once you have booked, you will be contacted by SUPERHOG directly to verify your identity. If you want to take advantage of this free insurance, please make sure your verification is completed prior to check-in.

Alternatively, if you prefer, you can opt to pay a £200 damage deposit 7 days directly with us before arrival. Your deposit will be held during your stay and refunded 5 days after departure, subject to an inspection of the property.

Please also note complimentary mid stay cleans (including the provision of fresh linen and towels) will be provided as follows:
Bookings for 14-21 nights will receive one mid stay clean
Bookings for 21-28 nights will receive two mid stay cleans

Interior layout

Once you enter the main door and climb the stairs, you’ll find that Sea View Loft is different from most apartments in that there’s another set of stairs to climb once you enter the property.

At the top of the stairs, you’ll find a handy space for boots and jackets, along with a utility area where the washing machine, freezer and ironing facilities reside. Go through the door in front of you to enter the main L-shaped hallway.

The first room you’ll come to on the left of the hallway is the lounge and kitchen area. This is a bright, spacious and beautifully decorated room with a peaceful deep blue colour and lots of quirky, original touches (the kitchen tap is a feature all of its own!) and fantastic sea views.

In the lounge, there’s a comfy leather sofa and single blue velvet seats – which perfectly match the decor – along with a coffee table, TV and DVD player, handy side-table unit and mirror. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay.

Back into the hallway, it bends round to the right, and the next room you’ll come across is the bathroom on the right, featuring lovely art deco flooring, a rainfall-style shower, and bath with shower attachment. This room also has a lovely view out to the sea that you can admire when brushing your teeth in the morning!

Continue down the hall, you’ll come to a bright and airy double bedroom, once again on the right. It features comfy twin ‘zip-and-link’ beds which can become a king depending on your needs, making this a very flexible room. There’s also plenty of space for clothes storage.

Follow the hall to the end and you’ll come to the spacious master bedroom – again featuring a king-sized bed that can be transformed into twins if necessary. This is a lovely bright space, featuring an open-plan closet with plenty of room for hanging clothing. There’s also a handy desk for using a laptop or writing some postcards to loved ones!

    This property is access by 2 flights of stairs. It is not suitable for those with mobility disabilities.

    Directions are as follows: access the apartment via the Main Door number 51 High Street. In between the Chest, Heart and Stroke Charity Shop and Core Pilates Studio. Go towards the back of the vennel and up the stairs to the right. Note: the padlocked cupboard on the ground floor is for your use - the keys to this cupboard are in the flat on the notice board. Go up 2 flights of stairs - the key safe is outside the apartment door 51D. Enter the code and retrieve the key. Up one more flight to the utility area and then the inner apartment door. Enjoy!


    There are restrictions during the day for parking on the High Street but you can park unrestricted and for free over night in the high street or in the residential streets just off the high street.
