Summerside Cottage is a ground-floor retreat in the seaside village of Gullane, with its own parking and a completely secure patio garden reached through French doors from the sitting room. The village's independent shops, restaurants, sandy beaches and world-famous golf courses are all within a five-minute walk.
The master bedroom has a double bed and its own TV, and the twin room two singles, with a family bathroom featuring a walk-in shower. The kitchen is well equipped, including dishwasher and washing machine, with a dining table for four, and there is a secure shed for bikes or golf bags. A high chair and travel cot are provided, and up to two dogs are welcome, with great walks straight from the door.
Beyond the village, East Lothian offers the John Muir Way, Tantallon and Dirleton castles, the National Museum of Flight and the birdlife of Aberlady Bay, all less than an hour from Edinburgh yet a world away in pace. WiFi included.
