Other attractions close at hand are Myrton Motor Museum, East Links Family Park, Go Karting, Foxlake adventures and the Musselburgh Races.

Interior layout

Enter this luxurious, deceptively large single-storey cottage from the garden, and go through to the light, bright and stylish open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area with TV/DVD and wood burner is perfect for relaxing and to enjoy a cosy night in, perhaps with a nice glass of wine, a good local ale or a wee dram after a day out exploring the local area. The beautiful bespoke well-equipped kitchen/dining area with electric double oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and large dining table perfect for family meals. Leading from the open-plan area through to the hallway you are met with the pretty king-size bedroom, with plenty of storage space and dressing table. Next the bathroom, enjoy the wonderful roll-top bath, original Victorian floor tiles, separate shower and WC. Followed by beautifully presented twin zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made into a king-size on request), with ample storage space and dressing table. Finally the spacious splendid king-size master bedroom, beautiful original lead glass bay window with seating area, ample storage space, dressing table and en-suite shower and WC.

Exterior

Venturing outside into the large mature enclosed garden you will find the patio area with table and chairs perfect for alfresco dining. Off-road parking for up to 3 cars is available directly to the side of the property.

Directions

Gilmerton Lodge is just 22 miles from the centre of Edinburgh. The Lodge is 4 miles out of Haddington on the B1347, heading towards East Fortune, Merryhatton Garden Centre and the National Museum of Flight.
At the end of our road there are 2 large signs for Gilmerton House. The Lodge is around 500 yards down this road on the right hand side just across the road from the main gates to Gilmerton House.

Parking

There is ample off-road parking on the gravel at the back of the Lodge.
