An sùlaire- meaning "the gannet" - is a North Berwick holiday apartment , warm, comfortable, light and elegant apartment in a small residential block with private, secure parking and set back from Dirleton Avenue. Ideally situated for the holidaying family and adults alike: 5 minutes walk from the stunning West beach and West Links golf course; 10 minutes from North Berwick High Street, 5 minutes from North Berwick train station taking you to Edinburgh in around half an hour, and seconds from a delightful hotel serving delicious food. Guests can enjoy leafy views of North Berwick Law from the small private south-facing balcony, and views of the sea from the doorstep.

To make a booking you can book directly through our website its safe and secure. All you need to do is select your dates and the number of guests. The price will be calculated for you . You will then be required to pay a minimum of £150.00 as part payment, which is non refundable in the event of a cancellation. Then, 42 days prior to your arrival date the balance will be payable with a separate refundable damage deposit of £150.00 due 7 days before your arrival date. Your refundable damage deposit will be held until you depart and then automatically refunded back onto your card within the week after you depart

The holiday apartment is contained in a small, tastefully designed residential block of only six properties within the grounds of the Nether Abbey Hotel. An sùlaire has its own front door accessed either from a ramp at the front, or stairs from the rear and private residents' car park. There is a small private balcony which is south-facing and overlooking Dirleton Avenue.

From Edinburgh/the west/A1 southbound: follow the A198 into North Berwick. After about 1/4 mile and after the first set of traffic lights, turn left opposite Ware Road, and proceed through the car park of the Nether Abbey Hotel to the rear of the hotel where you will see a dedicated car park space for Appt 2.
From Dunbar/the east/A1 northbound: follow the A198 and sign-posts for Edinburgh. At the traffic lights at the bottom of Station Hill, turn left onto Dirleton Avenue. After about 1/4 mile, turn right opposite Ware Road and proceed through the car park of the Nether Abbey Hotel to the rear of the hotel where you will see a dedicated car park space for Appt 2.
From North Berwick centre/harbour: follow the High Street through Westgate and to the traffic lights at the junction with Station Hill. Continue straight on for about 1/4 mile, then turn right opposite Ware Road and proceed through the car park of the Nether Abbey Hotel to the rear of the hotel where you will see a dedicated car park space for Appt 2.
From North Berwick train station: alight train and take path through to May Terrace and follow round to Links Road. Follow Links Road and then turn left onto Dirleton Avenue. Proceed about 100 metres and cross road to car park outside Nether Abbey Hotel. Apartment can be seen from road.


There is one allocated free parking space available in the secure car park adjacent to the apartment building, behind the hotel: the space is signposted for Apartment 2. If needed, there may also be a guest space on the left hand side of this car park but there are three designated for six apartments so availability of this additional space is not guaranteed.

An sùlaire is perfectly located close to local amenities and with easy access to Edinburgh. The apartment is a 5 minute walk to the nearest golf course and the West Links beach. North Berwick town centre, with a number of lovely shops, bars and eateries is only a 10 minute walk away, with the harbour only 15 minutes along the sea front. The nearest supermarket is 10 minutes walk away with a larger store available in a 5 minute drive. If you wish to take the train to Edinburgh, the station is around 5 minutes' walk and if you prefer to take the car, the city centre is around a 45 minute drive.

The apartment is situated in a residential building, adjacent to the Nether Abbey Hotel and set back from Dirleton Avenue which is a direct route into North Berwick from the west. The town, beach and railway station are all within easy reach.
