Callie's Cottage is a smart two-bedroom holiday cottage built to a high specification in 2015, with everything on one easy ground-floor level. It is a five-minute walk from North Berwick's High Street, and the beach, harbour, Scottish Seabird Centre and golf clubs are all within walking distance, with the railway station and its regular Edinburgh trains close by.
The light, airy open-plan living space has a lovely seaside feel, with a comfortable sofa, wood-burning stove, TV, board games and a dining table seating up to six. The kitchen is well appointed, including a dishwasher and a washing machine with drier. One bedroom has a double bed, the other two singles, and the family bathroom has a bath with overhead shower.
Families are well catered for, with a travel cot and high chair provided, and up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome too. There is off-street parking for one car, outside space to enjoy and WiFi throughout.
“We really enjoyed our stay at Callie's cottage. It was so private and quiet yet very central and convenient to town and the train station. The cottage was modern, very clean, and lovely and warm even in December. Very good shower and bathroom. It was a pleasure to come back to the cosy living room and comfortable beds. The cottage is very tastefully arranged, yet it's not precious or fussy. It was great that dog bowls and towels were available which made life a lot easier! Thanks as well for the milk, wine and biscuits which were much appreciated.”
“Booked the cottage as it was dog friendly. The cottage is very well equipped and has everything you could need for a self catering holiday. The cottage was spotlessly clean, warm and cosy. The welcome pack was very much appreciated- thank you. Quiet location - short walk into the town and to the beach. Cannot recommend enough. I'm trying to think how many times we have stayed in Callie cottage - three times I think. Love it. Will 100% be back.”
“What a simply lovely cottage! We stayed with our two whippets for a week whilst celebrating an early Christmas visit with our son who lives in Edinburgh. Everything we needed in this clean well equipped cottage which is only 5mins walk from the beach and town centre. North Berwick is beautiful and the town centre catering for all you need. We felt comfortable straight away & will definitely return and recommend! If only we could live there!!!!!!”
