Terms and Conditions

Please read carefully

 

 

When you confirm your booking, by making the part payment, you are entering into a contract between yourselves and Coast Properties.  In order to book a property with Coast Properties, you must agree to the following terms and conditions:

 

BOOKING AND PAYMENT PROCEDURES

To secure the booking, we will require a part payment of between £100.00 and £500.00 per weeks’ stay (depending on the size of the property) together with a separate booking fee of £15.00. 

6 weeks prior to your date of arrival we will require the balance rental payment of the property.  This date will be indicated in your letter of confirmation.  Please note that we do not send out reminders for this final payment.  The rental price is inclusive of all utilites unless the rental is on a longer term basis. Bedding is provided however please confirm if towels are supplied at the property you are booking unless it is stated on the website. If required towels , zed beds, traverl cots and hire chairs can be hired on request.

 

The part payment and booking fee is non refundable in the case of cancellation.

 

We accept all major cards except American Express.  Debit cards carry no charge, however the use of a credit card carries an additional 3% service charge. You are welcome to call the office [+ 44 (0)1620 671966] to give us your card details, or alternatively you can send the information in two separate emails. The card information we require is :-  the long 16 digit number, the expiry date and the last 3 digits of the security code found on the reverse side of the card.  We do not suggest sending all the information in one email for security reasons. Should you prefer to pay by cheque, this should be made out to Coast Properties, 27 High Street, North Berwick, EH39 4HH.  We also accept BACs transfers where our bank details will be given on request.

 

To process your booking we will require the following details, if we do not already have these on file:

Full name

Full residential address including your postal code where applicable

Landline contact telephone number

Mobile contact telephone number

Email address


CONDITIONS OF BOOKING

1.  In the event of a cancellation the hirer will immediately advise Coast Properties, so long as written notice of cancellation is received not less than six weeks before commencement date of the holiday.  The hirer will not be liable to pay any outstanding rental balance.  However if the cancellation is within the six week period prior to the booking date, the hirer will be liable for the full rental.   Coast Properties will use their best endeavors to re-let and if successful, a refund of the full rental price will be made, however the deposit is non refundable.
2.  If for any reason Coast Properties is unable to comply with this contract, an alternative property will be offered. However, if this alternative is unsuitable, Coast Properties will refund the full amount of the monies paid.  Coast Properties ‘total’ liability is limited to the refunding of such monies.
3.  Neither Coast Properties nor any persons in their employ will be liable for any loss, damage, sickness or injury howsoever caused which may be sustained by the hirer, any member of the party, or any person invited into the rented accommodation and grounds of the property during the holiday period.
4.  The hirer must look after the property and leave it, the furniture and equipment in the same condition as on the day of arrival.  The hirer must notify Coast Properties of any damages or breakages and reimburse the company for such costs at the end of the holiday.
5.   All properties are strictly non-smoking and a minimum charge of £200.00 will be imposed if this policy is breached.

6.  The hirer will not exceed the number of guests in the property as agreed and accepted by Coast Properties at the time of booking.  If this condition is breached, Coast Properties will be fully entitled to terminate the holiday immediately.   Dogs are not allowed in any of the properties without the agreement of Coast Properties. We have several dog friendly properties for you to choose. A charge of £20.00 per week per dog will be incurred. Dogs MUST NOT be left unaccompanied in the property and are not permitted on any furniture or in the bedrooms. If an animal is brought to a property without prior permission, this will constitute as grounds for instant termination of the holiday by Coast Properties.

7.  In the event of any complaint, Coast Properties must be notified before the departure date so that the issues raised can be dealt with immediately.   Un-inspected complaints or complaints notified after the property has been vacated cannot be upheld.
8.  Should The Hirer wish to change the dates or the accommodation booked after these have been confirmed by Coast Properties an administration charge of £25.00 will be charged.

 

ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURE

Our bookings usually run from Saturday to Saturday and as we like to prepare the properties to a high standard of cleanliness, we are therefore unable to offer entry before 4.00pm (unless a prior arrangement is made).   All properties must be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure.  A Late Departure Fee of £25.00 per hour will be charged. We ask that all clients ensure that no dirty dishes are left and that all perishables from the fridge are removed and disposed of.  We would also appreciate if you would strip the beds and leave used linen on the bedroom floor as all our bedding is professionally laundered and would ask you not to put it in the washing machine.

 

KEY COLLECTION AND RETURNS

Keys can be collected from our office 27 High Street, North Berwick. EH39 4HH

Office hours: Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm (.summer months and peak weeks)

                                 

                          Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm

If you are unable to collect keys during office hours, please let us know and we can arrange for an out of hours collection, please note there will be a charge of £10.00 for an ‘Out of Hours’ service during the summer months of July to August . 

On departure the keys are to be returned to the office. If this is out of office hours, the keys can be put through the post box on the office door. RETURNED KEYS ARE NOT TO BE RETURNED TO THE KEY BOX.

 

  DISCLAIMER

Whilst every endeavor is made to ensure that the particulars on our website and other literature are correct, Coast Properties cannot be held liable in respect of changes or alterations made.   Coast Properties do not accept liability for accidents to visitors or any loss or damage to their property or vehicle.  Coast Properties reserve the right to decline accommodation and to demand the immediate withdrawal of any persons not complying with the terms and conditions, or for any conduct detrimental to the property or the comfort of the other visitors or neighbours.
